Life is tough. 6-year-old Jay knows that all too well. Between home and school, some troubles seem too big to tackle. But luckily there’s a special friend who can help. Jay introduces us to his pal Counselor Dre—who he talks to about life’s ups and downs—and how he feels.

Dr. André JC Stokes
Dr. André JC Stokes (MSW, CASAC-T) is a counselor, substance abuse services director and professional speaker who resides in Buffalo, New York with his family. André’s research focus is counseling barriers related to Black Individuals with an incarcerated relative. Having to overcome many challenges during his upbringing, André looks to help those in need through his work. He enjoys Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, building remote controlled cars and having reflection time during his motorcycle rides.
